Designated Pastor Nominating Committee<br />Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Ventura, California<br /><span style="font-weight:bold;color:green;background-color:#cfc;">House News<br />Matt and Melinda made an offer on a house near EPC and it was accepted today. The escrow is short and they anticipate being moved in by the end of September.<br />&quot;The timing is tight for all concerned ..., but it looks like it's going to work out. Melinda and I are thrilled that we will be able to move and get the kids in school before I start at Eastminster, so that I can give the church my full attention.&quot;<br />With this schedule, they will be able to move and get the kids in school before his first day at Eastminster. In other words, the DPNC voted and agreed unanimously on a candidate we believe will be a tremendous fit for Eastminster. The Presbytery's Committee on Ministry (COM) heartily approved our candidate and the Personnel Committee has worked out the Terms of Call.<br />Next stop: Super Sunday. Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, August 10 for the purpose of electing a new pastor. For this special day, there will be two services so everyone can hear the candidate preach. Session and the DPNC will soon announce events for that weekend designed to give everyone an opportunity to meet the candidate.<br />]]></description>
